Renan Source has benefited from the support of the following institutions:

The project « Renan Source ». A Digital Edition of the Manuscripts of Ernest Renan, mounted by Domenico Paone and the ITEM, was awarded in 2014 by the City of Paris’s programme for the support of ongoing research Émergence(s). Renan Source was funded and supported by this programme throughout the entire period 2015-2019de 2015 à 2019.
The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique co-funded Renan Source through making available to the project personnel, premises and equipment at the Institut des Textes et Manuscrits Modernes (CNRS-ENS, Paris) throughout the period 2015-2019.

The French National Library Bibliothèque nationale de France has signed an agreement with the ITEM for the digitalization and distribution on the Internet of the entirety of the manuscripts making up the Library’s Renan collection. This partnership between the BnF and Renan Source thus aims to support research and to draw out all the potential inherent in France’s archivistic heritage..
The Musée de la Vie Romantique has signed an agreement with the ITEM for the digitalization and distribution on the Internet of a part of the Scheffer-Renan collection conserved at the museum.
The Collège de France has signed an agreement with the ITEM for the digitalization and distribution on the Internet of the personal files and records of Ernest Renan, held in the archives of the Collège de France, where Renan was a professor (holding the Chair for Hebraic, Chaldaic and Syriac Languages there first in 1862 and then again from 1870 to 1892, the year of his death) and also an administrator (from 1883 likewise until his death in 1892).
